Miami guard Arroyo arrested after traffic stop

Miami Heat point guard Carlos Arroyo was charged with resisting arrest after police said he refused to leave his vehicle after being pulled over on Friday for driving erratically.

Police in the Miami suburb of Coral Gables said a motorcycle officer made several attempts to pull Arroyo over on Friday morning.

After Arroyo was stopped, he refused to get out of his vehicle several times before complying, police said.

Arroyo was charged with operating a motor vehicle at such a slow speed that it blocked traffic, failure to obey a lawful order and resisting arrest without violence.

The Heat had no immediate comment on the incident.
