Los Angeles Lakers center Andrew Bynum has undergone successful surgery on his right knee, the National Basketball Association club has announced.
Bynum had arthroscopic surgery in New York to repair a partially torn ligament.
He first learned of the tear in his meniscus during the Lakers' first-round playoff series against Oklahoma City.
Bynum postponed surgery during the Lakers' run to their second consecutive NBA title.
