Krzyzewski: Durant has been too unselfish so far

Krzyzewski believes Durant is too unselfish so far in preparations for world championships

U.S. coach Mike Krzyzewski believes Kevin Durant has been too unselfish so far in the Americans' preparations for the world championships.

Krzyzewski said Friday that the Oklahoma City Thunder star is the best player on the team but has been passing up too many shots. Durant shot only 4 of 12 and missed all five 3-point attempts during Thursday's intrasquad scrimmage at Radio City Music Hall.

Durant says he doesn't "want to be a guy that comes out here and tries to take all the shots." But Krzyzewski says his teammates want him to keep shooting even if he misses.

Even though he considers Durant to be the best player, Krzyzewski doesn't think he needs to be a leader in his first stint with the national team.
