Iverson out indefinitely to be with ailing daughter

Philadelphia 76ers guard Allen Iverson will be out indefinitely as he spends time with his sick daughter, the NBA's Philadelphia 76ers said Monday.

Sixers president Ed Stefanski said it was in the best interest of the team and Iverson to allow the player time to be with his family as they cope with a "very serious issue."

Iverson will miss at least the remaining three games of Philadelphia's current road trip.

He missed five games and the All-Star game to be with his family when the child's health issue surfaced earlier this month

Iverson has not disclosed what illness his 4-year-old daughter, Messiah, is battling.
